We are currently hiring a Quality Assurance Manager for our Flippin, AR location. This is an onsite role and we are not providing sponsorship or relocation for this position. Local candidates only please.
Job Summary:
To ensure quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards and to ensure that the ISO Quality System is established, implemented, and maintained. Provide and monitor continuous improvement efforts and detect reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System. Educate and train employees as to their impact in the Quality Management System.
- Leadership for the QA team: Hiring, Training, Coaching and Managing the team.
- Management representative for the organizations QMS.
- Serve as the primary quality resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement and preventive actions. Review of Customer initiated corrective actions, RMA'S (returned material authorization) and the determination of the disposition of the department responsible for customer corrective actions. Perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective and preventive actions and process improvements.
- Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product requirements for regulatory and statutory regulations and UL requirements on material and products and communicates and enforces these requirements within all levels of the company.
- Ensure the Quality Management System is effective and compliant to the ISO standard and review all revisions to the procedures and department work instructions. This includes revising the Quality Manual and the Quality Engineering Department work instructions, as needed.
- Review customer proposals, requests for quotations, including changes, to determine quality requirements, and insure their input into internal planning as needed or requested.
- Work with cross functional team on purchased product validation and approval. Interface with other departments to provide assistance, resolve problems and monitor work affecting quality.
- Works with Project Team, Client, Regulatory Agencies, and Suppliers to ensure the quality management system is functioning properly, advises on changes and their implementation strategies.
- Implement testing inspection, print review and or approval, or any technical information needed when requested on a Technical Request by Customer Service.
- Management oversite for the calibration and testing programs.
- Manages the Internal Audit program and Internal Auditors for the facility.
- Lead activities and reporting to support ISO 9001 certification
- Work with the Management Team on setting KPI’s for the facility and monitoring them.
- Drive 5S projects for improvement and maintenance of current 5S system
- Drive Continuous Improvement projects and activities throughout the facility
- Perform related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience/education combination is preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience in a quality management role for a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability with injection molding and vinyl dip molding
- Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control theory and practices.
- Experience managing a Quality System for a facility that was ISO/IATF certified.
- Demonstrated ability with PPAP, Statistical Process Control, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Ability to lead cross functional projects
- Experience with new product development/introduction, engineering drawing, and engineering documentation;
- Experience with software such as Minitab, Visio or D365;
- Organizational skills, problem solving, and analytical mindset.
- Customer/Client focus.
- Collaboration and strong teamwork skills along with business acumen.
- Performance management experience.
- Well versed at using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- ASQ Certified ISO and IATF Lead Auditor is preferred but not required.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager is preferred but not required.
