Essentra is immediately hiring for a Quality Inspector at our Erie, PA production facility to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for developing and documenting multiple testing and inspection of injection molded and dip molded parts, and documenting the results. The Quality Inspector will maintain a record of test and measurement equipment in accordance with calibration standards and requirements.

We are hiring for 1st Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm) - Starting at $15.50/hour

As a Quality Inspector you will:

• Communicate all quality requirements to Machine Operators and Supervisors as necessary.
• Fill out quality documentation as needed (Quality and Manufacturing).
• File/store inspection samples and inspection documentation.
• Perform first inspection of part
• Perform in-process attribute/functional gauging.
• Isolate and document nonconforming products.
• Sort and certify rejected non-conforming products

What we are looking for:

Required:

• Ability to work 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday
• One year of Manufacturing experience
• Basic math skills with an ability to learn
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Comprehension of function of part being inspected and be able to make decisions on quality and inspection procedure(s) to use.. 
• Ability to work overtime as needed based on the needs of the business.

Preferred:

• Previous quality experience
• Working knowledge of measuring tools.(calipers, height gages, etc.)
• Data entry and record keeping skills (both paper and electronic)
