This role is designed for an experienced Tool Maker who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and problem-solving. You will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining tools, dies, molds, fixtures, and equipment critical to daily manufacturing operations. Your expertise will directly support production efficiency, quality, and safe operations, making this a key skilled role within the facility.


What You’ll Do

In this role, you will build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, molds, fixtures, and gauges that support daily manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot tooling issues and make timely, effective repairs to minimize downtime, while reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and quality. The position requires operating tool room equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines, as well as performing precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support continuous improvement efforts, while consistently following safety standards and maintaining an organized, efficient tool room.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build new tools to blueprints and documentation of steel dimensions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair tools or mold bases.
  • Troubleshoot manifold and controller problems.
  • Provide support to Changeover, Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Complete repair work orders.
  • Must provide own tools.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed based on the needs of the business.



What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred)
  • 4 years tool & die apprenticeship or equivalent (working with plastic injection molds).
  • Strong machining knowledge and attention to detail
  • Ability to read blueprints and work with precision measuring tools
  • Problem-solving mindset and pride in quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Forklift experience.
  • Overhead bridge crane experience a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of tool making procedures.
  • Good organization and planning skills.
  • Can operate all manual tool room machines and equipment.
  • Must be able to hold close tolerances consistently.
  • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.
  • Work safely in a fast-paced environment.
