Reid Supply, an Essentra company, is immediately hiring for an experienced Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to join our sales team based in Norton Shores, MI. This is a hybrid role that will allow the incumbent to work from home 2x a week after training (Mondays and Fridays).


As an Inside Sales Representative you will work closely with the Sales Director regarding day-to-day development and execution of the inside sales strategy. The main objective of this role is to drive revenue and sales growth. They will act as the liaison between the company and the customer, responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships, develop existing business and actively seek new sales opportunities. The Inside Sales Representative will utilize customer, product, and industry specific knowledge to engage and grow the customer base.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet a specific daily quota of outbound calls, sales quotations, or sending of samples on daily basis.
  • Respond quickly to customer inquiries via email or phone.
  • Develop new business with existing customers and/or qualify new opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities through CRM/Pipeline Report.
  • Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  • Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  • Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
  • Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  • Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Ensure orders, samples are entered and shipped accurately and on-time
  • Responsible for quoting catalog items as well as simple non-stock items
  • Report weekly updates within territory in regard to new opportunities, wins or losses
  • Maintain customer database by entering new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and consistently adding relevant notes
  • Ensure that the Reid/Essentra service proposition is being executed on a daily basis
  • Acquire and maintain product knowledge and market trends
  • Participate in weekly meetings as well as cross functional management meetings
  • Perform related job duties as assigned and required by supervisor or sales leadership.



QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Must be willing to commute to our office in Norton, Shores, MI.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related sales or customer service experience in an industrial, distribution or manufacturing organization
  • Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred; will consider candidates with strong experience in lieu of degree.
  • An outgoing, motivated professional with a track record of success.
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
  • Experience actively using a CRM tool is preferred (such as Salesforce or MS Dynamics)
  • MS Office proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have a basic understanding of products and applications and the ability to learn quickly about new products.
