This role is based at our Wixroyd site in Chichester, 22.5 hours per week. This can be across 3 full working days or other flexible options can be discussed during the interview process.

Continued year-on-year sales growth has recently seen the business relocate to a purpose-built facility in Chichester, both the main distribution centre and new modern manufacturing now operate from the same location.


The HR Administrator will report into the UK HR Manager and will provide HR transactional services supporting the UK HR team who are based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.


The role holder will help towards the employee engagement objectives, helping to continue the improvement of morale and retention of employees in Chichester. This will involve the coordination of monthly Town Halls and social activities.


The role holder will help coordinate recruitment activity in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team and will be the first point of contact for HR related queries from managers and employees based at Wixroyd.


The role will work in collaboration with the HR Administrator based in Kidlington and will provide cover for them in periods of absence.


Responsibilities:


  • First point of liaison for Chichester based managers and employees
  • Manage the end-to-end on-boarding process for all new starters and leavers
  • Create contracts of employment, offer letters and new joiner documentation
  • Undertake inductions with new joiners
  • Learn the HR system, keeping this up to date and running reports for key KPI HR data requirements
  • Track and process monthly employee payroll changes
  • Track and take ownership of the probation period process for Chichester based employees
  • Track and take ownership of Right to Work checks for Chichester based employees
  • Support and advise managers and employees on HR policy and procedures
  • Support with employee relations matters and sickness administration
  • Assist with compliance of all HR documentation
  • Help to manage the queries in the UK HR email inbox
  • Work collaboratively with the HR Administrator based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire and provide cover for same in periods of absence
  • Active participation in UK-wide HR initiatives
  • Provide a coordination role for on-site events, eg, Town Halls, BBQs and other social activities
  • Assist with coordinating recruitment activity in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team
  • Assist in administration of annual salary and bonus letters
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of performance review ratings



Skills and Experience:


  • Good working knowledge of HR Management systems
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clear understanding of HR policies and working knowledge of employment legislation
  • Experience of providing support and guidance to managers across a range of HR policies and procedures
  • Certificate in HR practice
  • Previous experience in HR administration
  • Experience of working with varying levels of stakeholders
  • High levels of attention to detail
