Senior Buyer/Planner

Responsible for the procurement of MRP and MRO goods, and services required on site. Ensure continuity of supply taking into account price, quality and delivery. Price and contract negotiations, management of initiatives to reduce the total cost of ownership.

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct competitive offers and price negotiations based on the TCO approach
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and capture savings for the company.
  • Review and monitor purchase requests, assign them to suppliers, optimizing LT, costs and service.
  • Understand market trends
  • Address discrepancies in invoices and prices.
  • Security and development of personnel in charge.
  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of purchasing projects (Costs, LT, Supplier Management)
  • Comply with and enforce Essentra policies and regulations and applicable laws.
  • Development of procedures and other documents required to comply with Essentra policies and applicable quality management system or HSE standards.
  • Comply with the performance indicators under your responsibility and present results with the required periodicity.
  • Actively participate in activities to promote the values ​​and safety-focused culture of Esssentra.
  • Provide interested parties with function monitoring information within established deadlines
  • Ensure the integrity of information corresponding to the function in the ERP system



Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Demonstratable experience in purchasing / planning
  • Previous experience leading a high functioning team
  • Quality, safety, health and environmental management - ISO 9001:2015 required; ISO/TS16949, ISO/14001 desirable
  • Problem solving methods (5 whys, is/isn't, cause-effect diagram)
  • A high level of trust when interacting and negotiating with suppliers
  • Knowledge of BPCS is desirable
  • Must be able to speak and write fluently in English
