Lagniappe Sourcing Consulting is recruiting for an experienced Data Analytics Engineer to join an Advanced Development Team supporting cutting-edge aerospace and engineering programs. This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced data analytics and software engineering skills in a hands-on, collaborative environment focused on performance optimization, innovation, and reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test and analysis tools using Python, applying libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy for large-scale data manipulation, analysis, and visualization of system performance metrics.
  • Design data pipelines and analytical dashboards to monitor performance, detect anomalies, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement version control workflows using Git or Bitbucket, including branching, merging, and pull requests to support collaborative development.
  • Perform deep data analysis and statistical evaluations to identify trends, correlations, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Document, track, and communicate findings through clear reporting, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with software, systems, and testing teams to troubleshoot issues, validate data integrity, and improve overall testing methodologies.
  • Participate in code and design reviews to ensure maintainability, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Continuously improve testing frameworks and analytics processes, advocating for automation, data integrity, and standardization across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a data-driven engineering or analytics environment.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation (experience with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, or Plotly required).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization, statistical analysis, and root cause investigation techniques.
  • Proven ability to design and automate data validation and test processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter capable of managing tasks independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if necessary.
