Join the LCIT team to help transition new technologies from National Laboratories to support the U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) and other Air Force needs. You’ll connect lab breakthroughs with Air Force requirements, working closely with lab and Air Force leaders and helping small businesses and contractors become partners in this process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and help transition promising new lab technologies to the Air Force.
  • Serve as the main contact between AFGSC and the assigned National Lab.
  • Supervise and support team members at assigned lab locations.
  • Build relationships with small businesses and regional companies to collaborate on technology solutions.
  • Advise on defense acquisition, program management, and strategy.
  • Organize meetings and dialogue between government and lab teams to solve capability gaps.
  • Track progress, schedules, and program performance.
  • Plan and coordinate technology transfer activities.
  • Travel as needed (~45 days/year).

Focus Areas Include:

AI, hypersonics, communications, AR/VR, quantum computing, additive manufacturing, advanced batteries, cybersecurity, robotics, clean energy, human performance, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or science.
  • 10+ years in acquisition, test, or engineering roles.
  • 2+ years serving on a higher headquarters staff.
  • Knowledge of Air Force Global Strike Command.
  • U.S. Citizen, clearance (SECRET or TS-SCI eligible).

Preferred:

  • Certifications: PMP, DAWIA Level 2+
  • Experience in military operations, defense acquisition, team leadership, and rapid technology development.
