Key Responsibilities
Research Excellence (60-70% of Role)
- Lead pioneering research in veterinary biomedical sciences, focusing on areas such as pharmacology, toxicology, and ecotoxicology.
- Secure extramural funding through grant writing and foster collaborative research initiatives.
- Mentor graduate and veterinary students, encouraging their active participation in research endeavors.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences to uphold SGU’s reputation for innovation.
- Oversee student research activities and support the Island Veterinary Scholars Program, promoting hands-on learning experiences.
Teaching & Mentorship (20-30% of Role)
- Deliver engaging lectures, interactive lessons, and laboratory sessions that inspire and educate students.
- Develop curricula that integrate practical research applications into veterinary education.
- Provide mentorship to graduate and veterinary students, guiding their academic and professional development.
Service & Community Engagement (10% of Role)
