Role Overview
We are seeking a mid-level software engineer passionate about building cutting-edge health technology. This role is focused on full-stack development and AI-driven infrastructure, rather than heavy bioinformatics. You will design and implement the technical foundation of our platform — spanning backend, frontend, and AI integration.
You will collaborate closely with scientists, data engineers, and leadership to deliver tools that make health data and wearable integration intuitive and actionable through AI-driven interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure for large health and biological datasets
- Build frontend interfaces (desktop + iOS apps) integrated with AI chatbot systems
- Implement machine learning and deep learning pipelines for health-related datasets
- Enable real-time integration with wearable devices and health apps (e.g., smartwatches, fitness trackers)
- Collaborate with AI agents and large language models to build health simulation and monitoring tools
- Contribute to DevOps, automation, and deployment pipelines for rapid iteration
Core Experience & Skills
- Full-Stack Development with AI Integration
- Backend (Python, Node.js, or similar)
- Frontend (React, Swift, or similar)
- Experience in iOS app and desktop platform development
- API design and microservices
- Machine Learning & Deep Learning (Health/Biology)
- Practical ML/DL application to health or biological data
- Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn
- Experience in preprocessing, training, validation workflows
- Infrastructure & Cloud Systems
- Cloud-native environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Docker/Kubernetes for scalable deployment
- Monitoring and optimizing distributed systems
- Wearable & Health Data Integration
- Experience with wearable devices and APIs (Apple HealthKit, Google Fit, Oura, Garmin, Whoop, etc.)
- Understanding how wearable data informs health insights
