Principal Research Scientist – LC-MS/MS Bioanalysis

Everett, Washington | Relocation Assistance Available

RPM ReSearch has partnered with a leading preclinical Contract Research Organization (CRO) to identify a Principal Research Scientist – LC-MS/MS to join its growing bioanalytical sciences team. Our client partners with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to support the discovery and development of novel therapeutics through high-quality GLP bioanalytical services. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative scientific organization where your expertise will directly contribute to advancing new therapies toward the clinic.

Important Qualification

Experience supporting Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) bioanalysis is required for this position.

While we welcome applicants with strong LC-MS/MS backgrounds, this particular opportunity requires prior experience developing, validating, and/or supporting LC-MS/MS methods for ADCs within a GLP pharmaceutical or CRO environment. Candidates without ADC experience are unlikely to be a match for this role.

About the Role

As the Principal Research Scientist, you will serve as the technical and scientific expert for LC-MS/MS bioanalysis, with particular emphasis on ADCs and large molecule assays. You'll provide scientific leadership across method development, validation, sample analysis, study execution, and client interactions while collaborating closely with cross-functional scientific and regulatory teams in a GLP environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific leadership for LC-MS/MS bioanalysis supporting both small and large molecule programs, including ADCs.
  • Lead method development, validation, troubleshooting, and sample analysis for GLP bioanalytical studies.
  • Serve as Principal Investigator or lead scientist on client-sponsored studies.
  • Partner directly with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, providing technical expertise and scientific consultation.
  • Prepare and review scientific reports, study documentation, and laboratory records.
  • Ensure compliance with GLP regulations, FDA guidance, SOPs, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and laboratory teams to support successful study execution and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, Immunology, or another relevant scientific discipline.
  • Significant hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and bioanalytical method development.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) bioanalysis.
  • Experience working within a GLP-regulated CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience serving as a Principal Investigator, Senior Research Scientist, or comparable scientific leadership role.
  • Strong scientific writing, data interpretation, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple studies while maintaining exceptional scientific quality and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

  • Large molecule LC-MS/MS assays
  • Shimadzu and/or SCIEX instrumentation
  • Watson LIMS
  • FDA ICH M10 guidance
  • Bioanalytical method validation in support of drug development

Why Join?

  • Join a respected and growing preclinical CRO supporting innovative pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
  • Play a highly visible scientific leadership role with direct client interaction.
  • Work on cutting-edge therapeutics, including Antibody-Drug Conjugates and other advanced modalities.
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of scientists in a GLP environment committed to scientific excellence.
  • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates.
