Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with The Lighthouse in Lewes, DE as they search for their next Worship Pastor. The Lighthouse is a healthy, growing Baptist church committed to faithfully teaching God’s Word, making disciples, building bridges between generations, and reaching its community with the hope of the gospel.

The Worship Pastor will provide primary leadership for the worship ministry while serving as a pastor and elder within the broader life of the church. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Pastoral Worship Leader – Leads from a genuine pastoral heart, valuing congregational participation and spiritual formation over performance.
  • Biblically Grounded – Holds a high view of Scripture and thoughtfully connects worship with the biblical truths being taught.
  • Skilled Musical Leader – Strong vocally and/or instrumentally with the ability to effectively lead a contemporary worship band.
  • Team Builder & Developer – Recruits, equips, shepherds, and multiplies musicians, vocalists, A/V volunteers, and future worship leaders.
  • Humble, Relational Collaborator – Works well with pastors, elders, staff, and volunteers while caring for the entire church.
