Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with FPC Bradenton in Bradenton, FL as they search for their next Children and Young Families Director. FPC Bradenton is a conservative, evangelical church that is still connected to the PCUSA. They have been faithfully ministering in the heart of downtown Bradenton with a renewed commitment to reaching the next generation for Jesus. 

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will be primarily engaged in three areas to help the church reach the next generation of attendees: 9:00 Informal Worship, Children’s & Family Ministries, and Youth Group. In addition, we are looking for someone who is outreach-minded with respect to our community, and who is willing to serve in some limited pastoral functions across the breadth of the church's ministry

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Family Ministries Team to ensure the church's vision & goals are being met.
• Continue developing and implementing a strategic plan for vibrant, sustainable Children’s, Youth & Family ministries. This will include hands-on teaching with our various age groups while being able to delegate responsibility to the other age groups.
• Be a part of staff and ministry team meetings, and perform worship functions and pastoral care in coordination with the staff. Preach as requested and overseen by the Interim Lead Pastor.
• Meet with the Interim Lead Pastor and other staff and ministry leaders to coordinate teaching matters, maximize volunteer team members, and develop an upcoming calendar of events.
• Lead (and develop volunteer leadership for 9:00 Informal Worship, Children’s & Family Ministries, and Youth Group. With the Lead Pastor, oversee the development of 9:00 Informal Worship as it relates to family ministry.
• Work alongside the Session and the interim Lead Pastor within the larger paradigm of the church to advance worship, ministry programming, missions, fellowship and community engagement across all age groups.
