Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Bannockburn Church as they search for two new positions. They are looking for their next Associate Campus Pastor for their South Austin Campus and an Associate Campus Pastor for their Buda/Kyle Campus. Bannockburn Church is a multi-campus Southern Baptist church in the Austin, TX area with locations in South Austin, Dripping Springs, and Buda-Kyle. Bannockburn is a church where “it’s okay to not be okay,” with a strong emphasis on Gospel hope, authentic community, and lives changed for the glory of God. The church is known for clear biblical preaching, a warm church-family feel, and a desire to help people take meaningful next steps in discipleship.

The Associate Campus Pastor is a high-impact builder role designed to shape and drive a thriving youth ministry while strengthening the overall health and execution of the campus. This leader will champion discipleship across students, kids, and families, bringing structure and momentum where needed to multiply people and leadership effectiveness. Operating as a key pastoral presence, they will advance the mission through collaboration, clear communication, and hands-on engagement at either the Buda/Kyle or South Austin locations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Depending on the specific campus assignment, the role involves a significant focus on next-gen and youth ministry—approximately 60% at Buda/Kyle and 70% at South Austin—with the remaining time dedicated to supporting general campus needs. This is not a maintenance position; it requires an energetic leader who can provide a strong pastoral presence while developing thriving ministries and equipping the next generation of believers

Opportunity 1: Associate Campus Pastor – Buda/Kyle Campus

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead all next-generation ministries on our campus, including student ministry, kids' ministry, parent engagement and development, camps and student missions, and coordination and oversight of life groups.
• Lead specific campus initiatives when needed, such as mission trips, community outreach, and calendar events like Christmas Eve and Easter.
• Host Sunday gatherings as needed, including welcoming, wrapping up, announcements, and calling the church to worship.
• Preach as needed.
• Partner closely with campus leadership to execute strategic initiatives and key calendar moments, providing pastoral care, leadership support, and general pastoral operation of the campus, especially in the absence of the Campus Pastor.

Opportunity 2: Associate Campus Pastor – South Austin Campus

Key Responsibilities

• Rebuild and strengthen the youth ministry with intentional leadership and clear direction.
• Create alignment across all next-generation teams to ensure a unified vision, communication, and execution.
• Lead specific campus initiatives when needed, such as mission trips, community outreach, and calendar events like Christmas Eve and Easter.
• Host Sunday gatherings as needed, including welcoming, wrapping up, announcements, and calling the church to worship.
• Preach as needed.
• Partner closely with campus leadership to execute strategic initiatives and key calendar moments, providing pastoral care, leadership support, and general pastoral operation of the campus, especially in the absence of the Campus Pastor.
