Desktop Support Engineer – Trading Floor
4 Month Contract | Inside IR35 | Immediate Start | London | On-site (5 days per week)
We’re looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join a busy financial services environment, providing hands-on end-user support within a fast-paced trading floor setting.
This role sits right at the heart of the action — you’ll be based at the Tech Bar, assisting users face-to-face, resolving walk-up issues, and supporting VIPs and traders in a high-pressure environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing day-to-day BAU support through floorwalking and desk-side assistance.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues across laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- 
Building and configuring laptops using SCCM and Intune, ensuring accurate role-based setups.
- Offering front and back office support, including Tech Bar (walk-up) assistance.
- Supporting Windows 10, Microsoft 365, and related applications.
- Administering Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account management.
- Providing 1st line support for trading applications, including Bloomberg and other market data tools.
- Handling mobile device setup, troubleshooting, and management.
- Offering remote support to users across multiple European offices.
- Logging and managing incidents via ServiceNow.
About You
- Strong background in desktop or end-user support within banking or financial services.
- Proven experience working on a trading floor and supporting high-profile / VIP stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with SCCM and Intune.
- Exposure to Bloomberg or similar trading systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable providing direct, face-to-face support.
- Professional, customer-focused, and calm under pressure.
