Overview:

Our client is seeking to hire a Senior Java/AWS Developer, who will work in a team with highly motivated team environment and with all the standard methodologies and processes followed to complete the project. A driven team environment which helps to build their career with healthcare confirmed experience and with technical, analytical skills. Developer will work on a team of truly talented individuals and be responsible for the design, build, and unit testing of IT applications and its components that work with sophisticated enterprise systems and external vendor systems.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage existing open source frameworks, third party components/libraries, cloud and commercial software to develop robust enterprise solutions.
• Design and Develop Software applications, features and defect fixes.
• Should be willing to work on proprietary technical product and develop as SME of the product.
• Champion and practice Agile Principles.
• Write Unit Test, Perform Code reviews and participate in Scrum meetings, Supply to low level design of the features/ user stories.
• Work closely with Dev Team, Test team, Product Manager and Business Analyst to collaborate, review and deliver high quality software applications.
• Have a demeanor for standard methodologies like unit testing, code coverage and dev-Ops.
• Be able to evaluate performance of applications and deliver solutions which are efficient and performant.
• Enable a 360 degree view of customer-centric information through integration of a multitude of internal/external systems, mobile apps, devices, and data marts.
• Support and improve existing applications used by consumers as well as operations staff.
• Analytical Skills: Candidate must be able to recognize the needs of customers and build simple solutions that answer those needs.
• Creativity: Creativity is needed to help invent new ways of approaching problems and developing innovative applications as well as bringing experience from other industries.
• Customer-Service: If dealing directly with clients and customers, candidate would need good customer service skills and consultant mentality to answer questions and fix issues.
• Attention to Detail: Applications have many parts and all must work together for the application to function.
• Teamwork: Candidate must work well with others as part of a distributed agile (SAFe) team of developers, analysts, QA, and more.
• Technical Skills: Candidate must be adept in computer languages and have strong technical capability. Must have a validated knowledge with common design patterns should seek out opportunities to implement design patterns. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing team of information security experts as we transform, enhance, and expand the security program for one of the largest information technology providers in the world. You will join the United States Global Technology Operations (US GTO) Security Strategy and Solutions team supporting governance, risk, and compliance consulting services as well as security service delivery across one or more US-based industries. The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of current security practices, knowledge of specific Security Tools, as well as the ability to identify and apply legal, regulatory, and industry-specific security requirements. You will help our client deploy effective security solutions and strategies. You must be able to collaborate with a variety of technical and management disciplines including infrastructure and security architecture, security operations, application development, project managers, product owners, and others.
• Three years of experience delivering consulting services including interaction with executive or senior client management
• Three years of working in risk assessments, risk management, controls monitoring, controls audits.
• Three years of policy, procedures, standards, work instructions, report generation
• Additional industry recognized certifications in information security (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS/GIAC certifications, etc.)
• Experience in information security testing (e.g., penetration testing, web application security assessments, vulnerability assessments and technical security assessments
• Secure SDLC, Agile, or DevOps experience
• Experience in virtualized security environments
• Experience with security vendors providing cloud-based IAM, data protection, security monitoring, and security-related SaaS offerings
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating system administration
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Desire to work in an information systems environment
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership and management skills

Manager Notes:

1.     Incident Response, Security Investigations, Security Engineering, GRC, Tools validation, Vulnerability Management, Reporting will be primary responsibilities

2.     Associates/Bachelors Degree Desired. 

3.     Cyber Security Certification – Minimum Security+, but CISSP or CISM are also desired, not a deal breaker.

This is a contract with a great organization. As a contractor for Smith Johnson, you are eligible for medical, dental, life, disability. Smith Johnson pays for 70% of your medical and dental and 100% of life and disability. The contract is also eligible for PTO/holiday accrued monthly.
