Our State Government client's Department of Family and Protective Services is looking for an experienced level 3 Project Manager to assist with the preparation of transition to a new case management system. DFPS’ requires project managers to work with DFPS programs to begin preparation for transition to the new case management system. The Worker for the project will work with and assist DFPS’s technology and program teams to support review of processes, policies, and practice.


The activities shall align with DFPS’s compliance with federal and state regulations and its goal of providing uninterrupted services to the children and families it serves. Data management services are needed in support of data cleansing efforts for the new system. The scope of these services shall include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Assist DFPS in managing the overall effort
  • Identify risks/issues and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and manage staffing and resources assigned to the project


These efforts are expected to result in a robust, secure, and efficient foundation that will support transition to a new case management system resulting in efficiencies, improved decision-making, and accessible data within the DFPS child welfare and adult protection programs. The new case management system will also be compliant with CCWIS data quality and confidentiality requirements set forth by federal, state, and tribal laws, thereby supporting child welfare policies, goals, and practices.


Duties:


  • Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on
  • Work Independently and/or oversee a team to get the job done
  • Coordinating cross functional teams and managing stakeholder communications
  • Facilitate collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure readiness for the new case management system



Required Skills:


  • 8+ yrs Experience with enterprise level projects and initiatives leveraging best practices according to the industry standards in project or program management
  • 5+ yrs Experience working independently with minimal supervision; ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and directional changes under short and firm deadlines
  • 5+ yrs Strong analytical, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills in data related projects
  • 5+ yrs Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including executive leadership, business subject area leaders, and project staff
  • 5+ yrs Advanced interpersonal skills: adept at quickly developing healthy relationships and ascertaining how to work with a variety of individuals at all levels
  • 5+ yrs Excellent written and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience


Preferred Skills:

  • 4 yrs experience with child welfare case management systems
