SUMMARY

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager – Digital Assets to help build a new product area within a leading financial institution. This is an opportunity to join a small, focused team exploring and developing the next generation of financial products involving digital assets, including areas such as stablecoins, cryptocurrency, tokenization, blockchain-enabled payments, and other emerging financial technologies.

This role requires a hands-on Product Manager who is comfortable working in an emerging space where the roadmap is still being developed. The ideal candidate has experience taking new products from 0 to 1 — from initial concept and business case through development, launch, and market adoption.

Our client is looking for someone who can combine product strategy with execution. This person should be able to identify opportunities, validate ideas, build a business case, define the product strategy and roadmap, and then work across the organization to turn that strategy into a real product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Own the development of new digital asset products and capabilities from concept through launch.

·        Identify and evaluate opportunities involving digital assets, stablecoins, tokenization, blockchain-enabled payments, and related emerging financial technologies.

·        Take new product ideas from 0 to 1, including opportunity identification, market validation, business case development, product definition, implementation, and go-to-market.

·        Develop product vision, strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and success metrics.

·        Research customer/member needs, market trends, competitors, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.

·        Build compelling business cases and recommendations for new products and investments.

·        Translate strategic opportunities and customer needs into practical product requirements and executable plans.

·        Partner closely with technology, operations, risk, legal, compliance, marketing, and other stakeholders throughout product development.

·        Evaluate potential technology platforms, vendors, fintech partners, and other external ecosystem participants.

·        Ensure products are designed with scalability, security, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, customer experience, and long-term sustainability in mind.

·        Develop go-to-market strategies and support successful product launches and adoption.

·        Establish and monitor KPIs and other measures of product performance.

·        Communicate product strategy, opportunities, risks, recommendations, and progress effectively to senior leadership.

·        Serve as a subject matter resource on digital asset trends, products, competitors, and emerging opportunities.

·        Operate effectively in an evolving environment where priorities, technologies, regulations, and market opportunities may change quickly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

·        Significant product management experience, preferably within financial services, fintech, payments, banking, or another highly regulated environment.

·        Demonstrated experience successfully taking a new product or business capability from concept to launch ("0 to 1").

·        Strong understanding of product strategy, market analysis, business case development, product roadmaps, go-to-market strategy, and product lifecycle management.

·        Strong knowledge of, experience with, or demonstrated passion for digital assets and blockchain-enabled financial services.

·        Familiarity with areas such as cryptocurrency, stablecoins, tokenization, digital wallets/custody, blockchain infrastructure, or emerging payment technologies.

·        Experience working across business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, legal, and other cross-functional teams.

·        Ability to evaluate an emerging market, identify opportunities, and translate those opportunities into actionable product strategies.

·        Strong business and financial acumen; experience developing financial models, business cases, or P&L-based product decisions is highly desirable.

·        Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

·        Comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking ownership without an established playbook.

·        Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Preferred:

·        Product management experience within banking, credit unions, payments, fintech, or digital assets.

·        Direct experience developing products involving stablecoins, tokenized assets/deposits, cryptocurrency, blockchain-based payments, digital custody, or related technologies.

·        Understanding of financial-services risk and regulatory considerations, including areas such as KYC/AML, compliance, security, and operational risk.

·        Experience working with FinTech’s, blockchain infrastructure providers, payment providers, or other external technology partners.

·        Bachelor's degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field.

MANAGER NOTES

·        This is initially a contractor position. A successful engagement could lead to an opportunity to convert to a full-time employee.

·        This should not be someone whose experience is primarily backlog management, user stories, Scrum ceremonies, or project coordination.
