Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic initiatives within our Treasury and Payments division. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery across trading, risk, regulatory, and post-trade functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology strategies. The ideal candidate brings strong financial markets knowledge, disciplined project execution skills, and the ability to work across business, operations, and technology stakeholders, and proven transformational delivery experience. This role will be involved in Treasury and Payments initiatives that support a modernization strategy that encompasses all or portions of digital sales enablement, digital customer experience, payments modernization, and a modern operating model.

Responsible for the management, overall coordination and status reporting of technical projects. Develop project plans to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Work with clients to understand and translate their needs into IT system requirements and solutions. Builds business cases to support recommended solutions. Directs and monitors work efforts, identifies resource needs, performs quality reviews and escalates issues appropriately. Responsible for tracking costs, key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Coordinates communication that may impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of project. Stays abreast of current and emerging information technology. May work closely with internal departments and outside vendors to ensure successful and a quality project completion. Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

• Lead the full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure) for a variety of capital markets initiatives
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
• Ensure timely, on-budget delivery while maintaining high-quality standards
• Track, report and manage progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and governance forums

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with front office and product, middle office (risk, compliance), and back office (operations) teams and technology groups
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology and operations teams
• Facilitate project governance, steering committee meetings, and executive updates
• Manage stakeholder expectations and drive decision-making

Risk & Compliance Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies
• Ensure projects comply with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes

Change Management & Communication

• Develop and execute change management and communication plans with a focus on customer and banker experience
• Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
• Manage impacts to business processes and operating models

Vendor & Technology Coordination

• Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and technology providers
• Oversee system integration, testing (UAT), and implementation activities
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and data strategies

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or related field
• MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience

• 7–10+ years of project management experience within financial services
• Strong experience in financial services technology, products, operations, and/or business. Ideally within banking and Treasury, Payments, and Fee Income.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives

Technical & Functional Skills

• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies

Certifications (Preferred)

• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., SAFe, CSM)
