Junior Recruiter

Compensation: $21-$25 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time and In-person, Day Shift, Monday-Friday.

NY State Solar sells, designs, and builds quality solar systems in the New York City metropolitan area! Our focus is to provide an outstanding customer experience and deliver a high quality PV system. Dedicated to helping New York become economically and environmentally sustainable.

A Junior Recruiter will work with the recruiting team and hiring managers to help bring in the most qualified candidates for open roles.

Junior Recruiter Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use search engines, job boards, and social media to find and engage candidates.
• Review online profiles and resumes for pre-screening.
• Work with Hiring Managers to determine job requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews, acting as the main contact for candidates.
• Send recruiting emails and follow up with candidates.
• Request referrals from internal and external networks for challenging roles.
• Maintain a candidate pipeline using the Applicant Tracking System and databases.
• Proactively source candidates for future hiring needs.
• Measure and report recruiting metrics, such as source of hire and time-to-fill.
• Assist with the Applicant Tracking System as needed.

Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
• Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
• Experience using office productivity software tools like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
