Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 Annually + Bonus + Benefits

The Role

The Senior Paid Social Strategist's key role is to achieve agency client goals through the development and execution of paid social strategies and to serve as a trusted strategic resource and business partner to the clients. The Senior Paid Social Strategist is responsible for owning and executing paid social work across a portfolio of client accounts from strategy through implementation and performance optimization. Agency experience required.


As a senior strategist, you will establish yourself as a business partner to the agency clients. This means providing guidance on strategies while acting as a leader and listener who understands how to best support solutions with the agency's service offerings and network. Identifying and implementing thoughtful strategies and bringing forward-thinking ideas to the table with passion is key to developing client success and happiness.


The client is a boutique agency with a senior team. Their client accounts range from large-scale programs with significant monthly spend to growing brands. Their teams work to make a smaller budget work hard and scale larger programs.


The Senior Paid Social Strategist will assist with the sales process by reviewing social ad accounts and making recommendations and/or participating in prospect meetings. They will contribute to the research and development of existing or new paid social tools and processes to improve how the Paid Team delivers results.


Responsibilities


Paid Platforms and Services

  • Actively research and recommend new paid social platforms, ad formats, and strategies for agency clients and the department.
  • Recommend new service models, concepts, and offerings that keep the agency competitive and their clients growing.
  • Identify when other agency services (SEO, CRO, analytics) could add value to their client's results and coordinate with cross-functional team members.


Client Results and Relationships

  • Determine when spend should be adjusted and on which platforms and campaigns.
  • Own your clients' results—monitor performance, diagnose issues, and make changes proactively when results are off track.
  • Make recommendations to current agency client strategies and deliverables that will improve overall performance and strengthen client relationships.
  • Know your clients' business goals, revenue models, and what drives their decisions.
  • Ensure agency client hours and resources are sufficient and determine the best course of action for adjusting scope or expectations.


Strategy and Execution

  • Plan and prioritize your workload based on allotted resources and their greatest impact on agency client results.
  • Translate top-level strategy into clear, actionable campaign builds and optimizations.
  • Contribute to sales presentations and participate in prospect meetings, acting as a paid social subject matter expert when needed.


Tools and Innovation

  • Identify paid social tools and technologies that could improve efficiency and results.
  • Stay current on platform changes, privacy regulations, and industry shifts—bring what you learn back to the team and to agency clients.
  • Contribute to the agency's paid social processes, templates, and reporting frameworks.


Required Qualifications

  • Agency experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on paid social experience.
  • Current knowledge of e-commerce and paid social industry trends.
  • Demonstrates a willingness and ability to communicate openly, directly, and professionally with agency clients, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
  • Has self and situational awareness, with the ability to "read the room" and be a leader and a listener.
  • Strong data analysis skills — ability to drive action and make recommendations based on performance data.
  • Experience with agency client reporting that demonstrates the relationship between effort and results.
  • Familiarity with different approaches to account structure and knowing when to use one vs. another.
  • Basic knowledge of website structure, URL structure, implementation of tracking pixels, remarketing tags, and conversion events.
  • Strong copywriting skills, especially as it relates to ad copy, landing page content, and campaign goals.
  • Experience managing multiple agency client accounts and prioritizing to complete projects successfully and on time.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn a client's business and revenue model in order to align marketing strategies to impact their bottom line.
  • Proven track record managing campaigns to achieve agency client goals across a range of budget levels.
  • Experience contributing to omnichannel marketing strategies and coordinating with cross-functional teams.


Technical Skills

  • Platform Expertise: Meta Ads Manager (Facebook/Instagram — required), TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Reddit Ads, and X (Twitter) Ads.
  • Advanced copywriting skills for ad copy, landing page content, and conversion-focused messaging.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Meta Pixel, Conversions API, and custom event implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Meta and Google Analytics attribution models.
  • Meta Catalog experience relating to data sources and campaign implementation.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Supermetrics and Looker Studio.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide actionable insights to agency clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of privacy regulations relating to ad blockers, CCPA, and GDPR.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets knowledge (tables, data manipulation formulas such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
  • Strong understanding of split testing and optimization methodologies for CTR, CPA, and ROAS.
  • Meta Blueprint Certification and additional social platform certifications, as available.


Nice to Have

  • Google Analytics 4 experience.
  • Experience with Search, Display, Remarketing, RLSA, and Shopping campaigns.
  • Experience managing product data feeds.
  • Experience with competitive analysis tools such as Semrush, SpyFu, etc.
