The Client

The client is a growing functional medicine and wellness practice focused on personalized, data-driven healthcare. The practice combines advanced testing, functional medicine, hormone and weight management, and other wellness services to help patients better understand and address the underlying factors affecting their health. The client takes a personalized approach to care, supported by an experienced medical team and ongoing patient support.

The Role

The client is seeking a Director of Growth to take ownership of its customer acquisition engine and help scale revenue through sophisticated paid media, conversion optimization, creative strategy, funnel management, and data-driven decision-making.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate at both the strategic and technical levels. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing campaign performance, developing a paid media strategy, identifying a funnel bottleneck, writing or refining landing-page copy, working with creative, troubleshooting technology, and leading a team toward measurable revenue goals.

The successful candidate will have significant ownership over growth and will be expected to bring a test-and-learn mindset, strong business judgment, technical fluency, and a relentless focus on results.

Why This Role

This position is an opportunity to have significant ownership over the growth engine of an established and expanding health-focused organization.

The Director of Growth will have the opportunity to influence paid acquisition, creative, conversion optimization, technology, sales funnel performance, team development, and overall revenue growth—with the autonomy and accountability that come with that level of ownership.

If you are a hands-on growth leader who knows how to scale paid acquisition, solve complex funnel problems, and turn data into measurable revenue, we'd like to hear from you.

The Ideal Person

This role is best suited for someone who owns outcomes rather than tasks.

You are someone who sees a decline in conversion rate and immediately wants to understand why. You can move from a Meta campaign into a landing page, from the landing page into the CRM, and from the CRM into the sales process to determine where revenue is being lost.

You're strategic enough to build a growth roadmap but hands-on enough to get into the platforms and execute.

You don't need everything to be perfect before taking action. You test, measure, learn, and improve.

You are also comfortable informing leadership when something isn't working—and, more importantly, coming to the table with a thoughtful solution.

Responsibilities

Paid Media and Customer Acquisition

  • Own and develop the company's paid acquisition strategy across multiple channels.
  • Lead and optimize Meta advertising as the primary acquisition channel, with additional oversight of Google Ads, TikTok, and television advertising.
  • Manage and optimize $180,000+ in monthly advertising spend, ensuring efficient allocation of budget and continuous improvement in performance.
  • Develop testing frameworks for audiences, offers, creative, messaging, placements, and landing pages.
  • Monitor CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, LTV, funnel performance, and other key growth metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to scale successful campaigns while quickly addressing underperforming initiatives.
  • Work closely with creative and marketing resources to develop performance-oriented advertising concepts.

Funnel and Conversion Optimization

  • Own the customer journey from initial ad impression through conversion and beyond.
  • Analyze the complete sales funnel to identify bottlenecks, drop-off points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and optimize landing pages, offers, messaging, calls-to-action, and conversion paths.
  • Write, edit, and direct compelling landing-page and advertising copy.
  • Partner with sales and operations to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and overall revenue performance.
  • Understand the relationship between marketing-generated leads, sales performance, customer value, and profitability.

Creative Strategy

  • Develop a clear creative strategy designed specifically around paid-media performance.
  • Translate customer insights and campaign data into compelling creative concepts.
  • Work with designers, video teams, copywriters, and other creative resources to continuously test and iterate.
  • Understand what makes creative successful on Meta and other performance channels.
  • Balance brand integrity with direct-response marketing principles.

Technology, Data, and AI

  • Bring a highly technical mindset to growth marketing and be comfortable working across marketing technology, analytics, tracking, CRM, and advertising platforms.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues that impact attribution, lead flow, conversion tracking, or campaign performance.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, marketing execution, analysis, and testing.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding/development software is strongly preferred.
  • Use data to make decisions rather than relying solely on intuition or historical assumptions.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve the growth infrastructure.

Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, develop, and hold marketing/growth team members accountable to measurable objectives.
  • Establish clear priorities, expectations, KPIs, and performance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Be a straight shooter who communicates challenges directly and constructively.
  • Take ownership when something isn't working and focus on finding the solution rather than assigning blame.
  • Build a culture of accountability, experimentation, urgency, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong alignment between marketing, sales, operations, and leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive growth/performance marketing experience.
  • Significant hands-on experience managing paid media, particularly Meta, which is the most important channel for this role.
  • Strong experience with Google Ads and TikTok advertising.
  • Experience with television/media buying or performance-oriented TV advertising.
  • Demonstrated experience managing $180,000+ per month in advertising spend.
  • Experience in health, wellness, healthcare, or another health-oriented consumer business is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with high-ticket sales and/or lead-generation businesses highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of the entire sales and marketing funnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve funnel bottlenecks.
  • Experience creating and optimizing landing pages and conversion-focused copy.
  • Strong creative strategy and performance creative experience.
  • CRM experience and a strong understanding of lead management and lifecycle marketing.
  • Highly technical and comfortable learning new platforms and systems.
  • Experience with AI tools and AI-assisted coding/development software.
  • Proven team leadership experience.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable working with performance data.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and business judgment.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and commitment to organizational goals.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve quickly.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary commensurate with experience
  • Health benefits
  • 401(k)
  • Competitive PTO
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Potential stock/equity opportunities
  • Potential profit-pool participation
  • Additional performance incentives tied to company and individual results
