The Mission (aka The Role)

Intero Studios, a division of Intero Digital, is looking for a skilled Shopify Developer for an initial 2–4-month contract, with the potential for extension or conversion to a longer-term role based on fit.

Mission Objectives (Essential Functions)

  • Managing and migrating product data using Matrixify—imports, exports, bulk updates, and data validation.
  • Ensuring product tagging, collections/categories, and meta fields are structured and mapped correctly.
  • Building and customizing Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Developing custom storefront functionality as needed across client projects.

Your Space Suit Specs (Requirements and Qualifications)

  • Strong hands-on experience with Matrixify (not just familiarity—you should know it well).
  • Solid understanding of Shopify's data architecture: meta fields, product taxonomy, tags, collections, and variants.
  • Proficient in Liquid templating, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Detail-oriented with data—you catch mapping errors and schema inconsistencies before they become problems.
  • Able to work US/EST business hours—8am to 5pm EST.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in an autonomous, remote-first environment.
  • Curiosity and a drive to innovate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels.
  • Formal education is not required—skill, creativity, and initiative are what matter most.

Nice To Have

  • Experience working across multiple Shopify stores or in an agency environment.
  • Familiarity with Shopify Markets, B2B, or headless setups.
