We are a remote-first company with physical offices in San Diego, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, and Columbus, OH.

The Mission (aka The Role)

Paid Media Strategists guide the strategic direction for their service line, ensuring every initiative ladders back to meaningful business outcomes. You’ll architect paid media roadmaps, lead strategic discussions with clients, and translate performance into long-term growth opportunities.

This role blends strategy with hands-on execution and regular client interaction. You’ll work alongside account managers and cross-service teams, elevating paid media from a channel to a business driver and ensuring work across departments connects into a cohesive visibility strategy.

The candidate may be based in any of the following US states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI.

Mission Objectives (Essential Functions)

Strategic Ownership

  • Own the strategic direction for your service line, ensuring initiatives map to client business objectives and department-wide goals.
  • Design and refine both long-term vision and actionable steps for execution.
  • Translate performance insights into growth strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.

Client Strategy and Execution

  • Own a portfolio of clients, directly managing both paid media strategy and execution, including campaign performance, optimization decisions, and delivery against KPIs.
  • Collaborate with AM and other service line strategists to deliver a cohesive client strategy that integrates all service lines into the larger marketing plan.
  • Elevate client conversations beyond executional updates, connecting paid media strategy to broader business objectives and outcomes.
  • Provide high-level recommendations on resource allocation, service mix, and roadmap prioritization.
  • Anticipate and address client concerns, ensuring risks are surfaced early and solutions are aligned to long-term success.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Assist with creating business reviews, joining monthly discussions, and leading relevant sections as needed.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, other service-line strategists, and related service-line roles in strategic client discussions, contributing insights and guidance as appropriate (e.g., handoffs, strategy calls, and reporting discussions).
  • Support internal knowledge sharing through debriefs, service refinement discussions, and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with paid media directors for training, mentorship, guidance on evolving paid media trends, and support with escalated issues.
  • Actively participate in client check-in calls with account managers to deliver paid media performance updates, strategic insights, and live platform views.

Performance Oversight and Innovation

  • Oversee advanced paid media analysis, turning complex data into strategic insights and growth opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of industry shifts (algorithm changes, AI-driven search, and competitive landscape); proactively adjust strategies to maintain performance; and guide clients and internal teams on implications.
  • Ensure reporting highlights business impact, not just performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and processes that enhance service delivery at scale.
  • Contribute to shaping department-wide innovation, helping evolve Intero’s paid media approach as technology evolves.

Your Space Suit Specs (Requirements and Qualifications)

  • Must have 2 years of experience as a Paid Media Analyst/Specialist.
  • Must have proficiency with advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta) and familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting information.
  • Robust command of the English language: writing, proofreading, and grammar.
  • Organized and independently manages time and workload with little assistance.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Collaborative, but able to work independently.
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week (remote).
  • LinkedIn and Bing platform experience are preferred.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in an autonomous, remote-first environment.
  • Curiosity and a drive to innovate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels.
  • Formal education is not required—skill, creativity, and initiative are what matter most.
