The Mission (aka The Role)

Intero Digital is hiring a Marketing Director to own our demand generation engine, brand presence, and marketing strategy. This is a remote, fully accountable leadership role reporting directly to the SVP, Growth Operations. You will set the direction for how Intero generates pipeline, builds brand authority in the market, and shows up for our clients and prospects—and you'll lead the team that makes it happen.

The candidate may be based in any of the following US states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI.

Mission Objectives (Essential Functions)

What You'll Own

  • Demand Generation and Lead Pipeline. You own Intero's inbound and outbound demand engine—strategy, programs, and results—across all lead-generating channels, including internal and external lead generation sources and vendor relationships.
  • Brand and Owned Assets. You own Intero's external brand presence and the assets that carry it: website, social channels, events, and webinars. You lead a team that creates assets, maintains the website, and supports the company's overall growth and direction.
  • Thought Leadership and Client Reviews. You are accountable for Intero's thought leadership plan and its execution—working across the organization and with external partners to create and publish content and build Intero's market presence. You partner with delivery teams to source client reviews, testimonials, and joint marketing opportunities that promote both client success stories and Intero's own results.
  • Marketing Strategy and Direction. You set the strategic direction for Intero's marketing function—what we go after, how we position, and where we invest to grow the business.
  • Team and People Leadership. You lead and manage the marketing team (content, social, web, and supporting functions) and work closely with sales leadership to keep top-of-funnel output aligned with pipeline goals and to ensure marketing and sales are pulling in the same direction on revenue generation. You are responsible for people's performance management for the marketing team.
  • Budget Stewardship. You own the marketing budget—how it's allocated, managed, and measured against results.
  • Marketing and Sales Alignment. You ensure clear communication and purposeful partnership across marketing support functions, and you drive continuous improvement through regular reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
  • New Channels and Initiatives. You identify, test, and scale new channels and initiatives that grow qualified lead volume and move the business forward.
  • Outbound Strategy and Messaging. You help set the strategic direction for outbound targeting—who we go after and how—and are accountable for the effectiveness of outbound messaging and outreach.
  • Revenue Operations and CRM System of Record. You own HubSpot as a clean, trusted system of record across marketing and sales—ensuring data integrity, sound pipeline structure, and reporting that gives leadership confidence in pipeline, performance, and forecasts.
  • Reporting and Forecasting. You are accountable for knowing what's happening across the lead generation pipeline—what's working, what isn't, and how it ties to opportunities and closed revenue—and for communicating that clearly to leadership.
  • Tooling, Systems and AI. You help ensure the marketing team has the right tools for the job, with contracts kept current, appropriately negotiated, and spending actively managed. You embrace AI and automation and look for ways to effectively utilize AI in daily tasks, strategic planning, and reporting.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Marketing-sourced qualified pipeline.
  • Lead-to-opportunity (MQL to SQL) conversion.
  • Brand strength and authority.
  • Efficient marketing spend.
  • A high-performing marketing team.
  • Productive lead generation vendor ROI.
  • Forward momentum on marketing's contribution to company growth.

Your Space Suit Specs (Requirements and Qualifications)

  • 7-10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership of a marketing team.
  • Strong track record of owning demand generation strategy and results, ideally in a B2B or professional/agency services environment.
  • Deep familiarity with HubSpot (or a comparable marketing/CRM system of record) and a data-driven approach to pipeline and performance reporting.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales leadership to align marketing output with pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Strong brand and content instincts alongside operational rigor—comfortable owning both strategy and execution.
  • Proven budget management and vendor negotiation experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in an autonomous, remote-first environment.
  • Curiosity and a drive to innovate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels.
  • Formal education is not required—skill, creativity, and initiative are what matter most.
