The Role
This is an opportunity for a proven, performance-driven digital marketing professional to build and scale the client’s inbound engine.
The Director of Digital Marketing will be responsible for driving search dominance, doubling inbound qualified leads, strengthening the client’s authority in the market, and managing the full digital experience from website to lead capture. This role requires someone who thinks strategically, executes relentlessly, and measures everything.
This is not a social media coordination role. This is an ownership role with clear outcomes tied directly to growth. You will own SEO, GEO, website optimization, inbound lead generation, and content strategy — and be accountable for measurable performance results.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the client’s enterprise-level SEO and GEO strategy with the goal of ranking #1 for high-intent keywords across core service verticals.
- Double inbound qualified lead volume within a 12-month timeframe.
- Position the client as the clear digital authority and market leader in scientific safety.
- Manage and continuously optimize the client’s and its acquired companies’ websites for performance, user experience, and conversion.
- Build and execute a high-quality content strategy aligned to growth priorities.
- Develop landing pages and campaigns that convert traffic into qualified leads.
- Implement structured lead tracking, scoring, and routing processes.
- Partner with Sales and Operations to improve lead quality and conversion.
- Analyze performance data and continuously optimize for ROI.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate content production, keyword research, competitive analysis, and SEO optimization while maintaining high quality and brand voice.
Deliverables and Outcomes
- #1 rankings for targeted high-intent keywords.
- 2x inbound qualified leads.
- Clean reporting dashboards showing performance by channel and improvements since joining the client.
- Strong alignment between marketing and sales on lead quality.
- Consistent production of high-quality thought leadership content.
Requirements
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience with significant SEO ownership.
- Understanding of GEO and the emerging marketing landscape within AI.
- Proven success ranking competitive keywords and driving measurable traffic growth.
- Strong experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
- Experience managing and optimizing websites (WordPress or similar CMS preferred).
- Deep understanding of conversion rate optimization and lead funnel strategy.
- Experience managing inbound lead flow and CRM integration.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and execution capabilities.
- Comfort operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Ownership mindset with high accountability for measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Surfer SEO, and automation platforms) to enhance marketing performance.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI output and refine for quality, accuracy, and brand alignment.
