The Mission (aka The Role)

The SDR Internship is a structured 90-day sales development program focused primarily on high-volume outbound prospecting.

Your responsibility is straightforward: work the outbound lead lists assigned to you, consistently cold call business owners and decision-makers, create qualified conversations, and generate meetings for Intero Digital’s Account Executives.

This is a highly activity-driven position where consistency, coachability, competitiveness, and execution are essential.

The candidate may be based in any of the following US states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI.

Please see Intero Digital SDR Internship Program Structure for more information.

Mission Objectives (Essential Functions)

  • Complete a minimum of 200 outbound cold calls per working day. 200 calls represents the minimum daily activity standard and not a stretch goal. Interns are expected to maintain consistent outbound activity throughout normal working hours and demonstrate the discipline necessary to sustain high-volume prospecting.
  • Work assigned outbound prospect lists and consistently attempt to connect with business owners, executives, and other targeted decision-makers.
  • Generate qualified meetings for Intero Digital Account Executives through cold outbound conversations.
  • Follow Intero Digital’s established outbound call frameworks, messaging, objection-handling strategies, and meeting-setting processes.
  • Maintain consistent calling activity throughout the working day rather than completing activity within only one calling window.
  • Take ownership of assigned leads and prospecting lists by ensuring required outreach and follow-up activity is completed on time.
  • Maintain accurate prospect activity, notes, dispositions, meeting information, and next steps within HubSpot.
  • Follow up appropriately with prospects when additional outreach is required to secure or confirm a meeting.
  • Participate in call reviews, coaching sessions, roleplays, team meetings, and ongoing sales development training.
  • Apply coaching and feedback quickly to improve call quality, objection handling, confidence, and meeting conversion.
  • Maintain professional, consistent, and accountable performance throughout the duration of the internship.

Your Space Suit Specs (Requirements and Qualifications)

  • Collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in an autonomous, remote-first environment.
  • Curiosity and a drive to innovate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision-makers over the phone.
  • Willing and able to consistently complete 200+ cold calls per day.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume outbound sales environment.
  • Competitive, motivated, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to remain resilient and professional through rejection.
  • Strong coachability and willingness to implement feedback quickly.
  • Ability to follow a structured sales process and daily activity expectations.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable being evaluated against measurable daily and monthly performance expectations.
  • Previous professional sales experience is helpful but not required.
  • Previous cold-calling or customer-facing experience is a plus.
  • Formal education not required—performance, initiative, communication, and coachability matter most.

Bonus Program

SDR Interns are compensated at $20 per hour and may be eligible for performance-based bonuses in accordance with the applicable SDR incentive structure.

Any bonus or incentive opportunities, including qualification requirements, payout amounts, and payment timing, will be communicated separately.

Company Sponsored Benefits (Your Interonaut Toolkit)

The SDR Internship is a temporary position and is not eligible for Intero Digital’s company-sponsored employee benefits during the 90-day program period.

Eligibility for benefits would only apply if the participant later receives and accepts an eligible regular employment position, subject to the applicable benefit plans and policies.
