Production Manager – Pharma Events Agency

Location: London or Kent (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Salary: £50,000 per annum + Benefits

Are you a technical production expert who thrives in the high-stakes, high-compliance world of pharmaceutical events?

We are delighted to be partnering with a leading boutique event agency that specializes exclusively in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. Known for their precision, creativity, and long-standing client relationships, they are looking for a Production Manager to take the lead on delivering flawless technical solutions for a variety of global projects.

The Role

As Production Manager, you will be the bridge between the creative vision and technical execution. You’ll oversee the full production lifecycle for domestic and international events—ranging from high-level advisory boards and investigator meetings to large-scale congresses and product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Planning: Lead the scoping, specification, and budgeting of all technical production requirements.
  • Supplier Management: Negotiate with and manage AV partners, scenic builders, and local crews to ensure high standards and cost-effectiveness.
  • On-Site Leadership: Direct the technical delivery on-site, ensuring everything from lighting and sound to complex digital platforms runs without a hitch.
  • Pharma Compliance: Work within the unique regulatory frameworks (ABPI/EFPIA) that define the pharma event landscape.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Account Managers and Creative leads to ensure technical solutions align with client objectives.

The Ideal Candidate

This isn’t just about knowing your way around a lighting desk; it’s about being a meticulous project manager who understands the "why" behind the "how."

  • Experience: Proven track record in event production, ideally within a specialized agency or for pharmaceutical clients.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of AV, stage sets, webcasting, and event technology.
  • Logistics & Budgeting: Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets up to six figures.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally for on-site delivery and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Location: You should be based within commutable distance to either London or Kent, with the ability to be in the office 3 days a week.

Why Join This Agency?

Our client offers the best of both worlds: the professional rigour of a top-tier agency with the supportive, collaborative culture of a smaller team.

  • Salary: Competitive £50k base.
  • Hybrid Working: A genuine 3-day office/2-day home split.
  • Variety: No two weeks are the same—you’ll be working on projects that truly impact global healthcare.
  • Growth: They are in a period of steady growth, offering clear pathways for long-term career progression.
