SmartPoint delivers digital out-of-home advertising through a portable, tech-forward platform built for live events. Its mobile LED displays and digital signage can be set up at any venue including racetracks, festivals, arenas, or fan zones, giving brands high-visibility placement right where crowds gather.

SUMMARY

 

SmartPoint I/O is seeking a Senior Vice President, Advertising & Sponsorship Sales to serve as the company’s primary revenue driver during a critical growth phase. This is a “player-coach” role: the ideal candidate will be an aggressive, hands-on seller who can also build and lead a sales function over time. The company needs someone who can hit the ground running and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to generate net new revenue across SmartPoint’s expanding digital OOH and venue technology portfolio.


The Senior Vice President will focus on selling advertising inventory, sponsorship packages, and brand activation opportunities across SmartPoint’s network of motorsports venues, airports, convention centers, and other high-traffic properties. Beyond selling, this individual must have the gravitas to sit with investors and stakeholders, articulate SmartPoint’s value proposition, and represent the company at the executive level. 



RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Own and drive an aggressive outbound sales process to generate net new advertising and sponsorship revenue across SmartPoint’s digital OOH venue portfolio. Serve as the lead seller for SmartPoint’s SMI motorsports track inventory
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for selling digital signage, interactive displays, brand activations, and sponsorship packages to agencies and brand-direct clients
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools; maintain a quantitative, transparent, and disciplined sales process
  • Create compelling proposals, pitch decks, and media kits tailored to prospective advertising and sponsorship partners
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with OOH advertising agencies, media buyers, brand marketing executives, and venue stakeholders
  • Collaborate with SmartPoint leadership to identify, develop, and price new inventory opportunities and creative assets across the venue network
  • Represent SmartPoint I/O in meetings with private equity investors, track ownership groups, and senior stakeholders; communicate revenue progress, pipeline health, and strategic vision with credibility and gravitas
  • Manage the contractual and negotiation process with advertising partners, working closely with internal legal and finance teams to close deals efficiently
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights on digital OOH, motorsports sponsorship, and venue-based advertising trends
  • Transition into a player-coach leadership role as the sales team grows, mentoring junior sellers and helping to scale the revenue organization


QUALIFICATIONS


  • 7–15 years of experience in advertising sales, sponsorship sales, or media sales, with a strong preference for out-of-home (OOH) or digital out-of-home (DOOH) backgrounds
  • Proven track record of generating significant net new revenue in a player-coach or individual contributor capacity
  • Deep understanding of the OOH/DOOH advertising ecosystem, including programmatic buying, audience measurement, and media planning
  • Experience selling sponsorship and advertising packages within high-traffic live event environments (stadiums, arenas, racetracks, airports, convention centers)
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, comfortable operating with limited infrastructure and creating process from scratch
  • Executive presence and communication skills to engage PE investors, C-suite clients, and venue ownership groups
  • Ability to travel as needed to venue locations, client meetings, and industry events (races, conferences, etc.)
