BACKGROUND

 

FC Dallas is a charter club within Major League Soccer located in Dallas Fort Worth. The club’s mission is “creating a stage for championship moments” both on and off the pitch. FC Dallas is committed to driving the growth of soccer and is the established leader in youth soccer talent development in North America. FC Dallas’ home, Toyota Stadium, is one of the first soccer specific stadiums in the U.S. and is undergoing major renovations totaling over $182 million. The renovations are being conducted in phases and will be completed in full by 2028. FC Dallas is owned by Hunt Sports Group which is led by brothers Clark and Dan Hunt. The Hunt family also owns the Kansas City Chiefs and part of the Chicago Bulls.


SUMMARY

 

The Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for driving new business sales across all FC Dallas Soccer owned and managed properties (FC Dallas, Toyota Stadium, and the National Soccer Hall of Fame). This role will include identifying and cultivating high-value prospects and developing innovative partnership solutions that align with the values and objectives of FC Dallas. A successful individual will be skilled at prospecting, pipeline management, relationship building, business acumen, solution and objective based ideation, selling and negotiation. The Sales Executive will be immersed in all FC Dallas property benefits and business lines. Additionally, the Associate Director will have leadership responsibilities within the department and on special projects.

This person will work in close collaboration with the entire department and organization to ensure organizational cohesion and synergy. RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Exemplify and cultivate a culture of inclusion, diversity, transparency, and continuous personal and employee development.
  • Responsible for growing FC Dallas property business lines via new partnership sales.
  • Responsible for supporting the department’s new business sales process from start to finish – identify and manage account prospect lists, CRM input, relationship development, client objective-based ideation, pitching, negotiating, closing, contract execution and full transition of new partner accounts to the assigned partnership marketing and activation account lead.
  • Identify and target potential, best-in-brand corporate partners at the regional, national and international levels.
  • Ensue partner-based business objectives, asset alignment, analytics, and world class storytelling are incorporated into all new and renewal conversations.
  • Negotiate new partnerships that benefit the partner, our fans, and the organization.
  • Adapt selling style and technique to organizational priorities, evolving property portfolio and business needs.
  • Continually assess the industry landscape, market demands, innovation, and emerging categories to keep sales strategies and tactics relevant.
  • Collaborate and support the team in executing all partner relationships, contracts, and events.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments and external portfolio properties to ideate new partnership assets and platforms.
  • Achieve and exceed company and department goals and objectives.
  • Act as an ambassador for FC Dallas by representing the club positively in all professional and personal interactions.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, advertising, or sports management (or similar field) from four-year college or university required.
  • Minimum 5 years of high-level partnership revenue performance, ideally within professional or collegiate sports.
  • Preferable experience working with new/or facility renovation projects within the Sports and Entertainment industry.
  • A proven track record in pitching, negotiating and closing six-to-seven figure partnership deals.
  • Established book of business with high-level contacts at large and mid-size corporations, particularly companies with partnership portfolios.
  • Strong presentations skills using creative storytelling, objectives and KPI’s.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Competitive mindset with a strong work ethic and drive to exceed goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a strategic, solution-oriented seller.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate and influence others in a flexible and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
