BACKGROUND


Golfzon is the worldwide leader in golf simulator market share, with a mission to make golf accessible to everyone. Golfzon has a presence in 60+ countries with 12,000+ sites around the world and 100 million+ rounds of golf played on Golfzon simulators annually.

 

Golfzon America (GZA) is the US headquarters, providing both commercial and residential customers with our award-winning simulators and services. Golfzon Range by Leadbetter is a wholly owned, commercial subsidiary of GZA, providing full indoor practice and instruction facilities and resources. Golfzon Social is a newly established indoor golf entertainment business, formed as a joint venture between Golfzon America and Troon, the leading golf course management company in North America.


SUMMARY


The Managing Director of Operations owns the post-sale delivery function, ensuring that what’s sold is executed flawlessly in the field. This leader oversees end-to-end planning and scheduling, vendor and subcontractor coordination, logistics, and the full construction/installation process, while serving as a primary point of accountability for on-time, on-budget completion.

 

Golfzon is seeking someone who is highly organized and solution-oriented; thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent residential and commercial projects. The role includes budget ownership and selective travel aligned with key industry events.


RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Own operational execution from signed sale through installation completion, customer handoff, and post-install support coordination.
  • Lead and develop all installation operations, providing direction across multiple concurrent projects, removing roadblocks, and driving on-time, on-budget performance with strong quality and safety standards.
  • Own and manage the operations budget, including vendor spend, travel, installation costs, and project-level profitability inputs.
  • Build and manage a reliable network of regional vendors/partners to expand capacity and improve responsiveness.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements that increase installation capacity and efficiency as growth continues.
  • Serve as a senior point of escalation for customer-facing execution issues.
  • Maintain clear internal operating rhythm with Sales and leadership to align timelines, expectations, and constraints.

 

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership in a project-delivery environment.
  • Golf/sports familiarity preferred (golf specifically a plus) but not required.
  • Experience owning scope, schedule, and budget for installation projects.
  • Proven success leading multi-vendor, multi-project field execution with tight scheduling and high customer expectations.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor negotiations; comfortable balancing cost, quality, and timeline tradeoffs.
  • Excellent customer interfacing skills.
