Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Line Electrician to install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components on an assembly line. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment is built to specification, operates safely, and meets quality standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and assemble electrical components, control panels, and systems according to schematics, blueprints, and work instructions
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform electrical testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality
- Identify and correct wiring issues, component failures, or assembly defects
- Follow all safety procedures, electrical codes, and company quality standards
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other assembly team members to resolve technical issues
- Document work performed, including test results and any required modifications
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
- Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process or efficiency improvements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
- Proven experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or assembly line environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and industrial controls
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PLCs, control panels, or automation systems
- Troubleshooting experience in a production or industrial setting
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production floor
- May require standing, bending, lifting, and working around moving equipment
- Use of PPE as required
