About the Role

We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to own and evolve our core infrastructure platforms in a rapidly growing organization with 80 locations and nearly 8,000 employees. This role is hands-on and strategic—perfect for someone who loves building reliable systems, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and mentoring others along the way. You’ll play a key role in scaling and standardizing our server, storage, virtualization, backup, and DR environments as the company continues to expand.

This role may require occasional travel to support site deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and key projects across locations.

What You’ll Do

• Design, deploy, and support enterprise server infrastructure, with a focus on Hewlett Packard Enterprise hardware
• Manage and optimize SAN and HCI storage platforms including HPE MSA, Nimble, Alletra, and VMware vSAN
• Architect, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware-based platforms, including VMware Cloud Foundation
• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using Veeam
• Design and support replication and disaster recovery solutions using Zerto
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management projects
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability across compute, storage, and virtualization layers
• Develop and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams to deliver reliable platforms
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex incidents and root cause analysis
• Mentor junior engineers and help establish infrastructure best practices

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in systems/infrastructure engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with HPE ProLiant hardware
• Deep experience with SAN and HCI storage platforms (MSA, Nimble, Alletra, vSAN)
• Advanced experience with VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware vSphere environments
• Proven experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam preferred)
• Experience designing and operating DR/replication solutions (Zerto preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, and virtualization
• Solid understanding of Windows Server and enterprise networking concepts

Preferred:

• Experience with automation (PowerShell, PowerCLI, Ansible, etc.)
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (Azure)
• Infrastructure-as-Code or platform standardization experience
• Relevant certifications (VMware, Microsoft, HPE, Veeam)
