Case Management - Housing Sr. Program Specialist – Balance of State


  


ZeroV is seeking a full-time Senior Program Specialist to join our housing team. This position has a key

role in developing, implementing, and supporting ZeroV’s housing program that provides housing,

rental assistance, and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence in Kentucky.


Expected Responsibilities:

 Coordinate with housing team members and local program advocates to ensure housing

supportive services are provided to all housing clients.

 Understand the complexity of each client’s background and work with that client to develop a

comprehensive and individualized service plan and connect that client with the most effective

community and program resources to promote overall stability.

 Provide direct services including crisis management, mentoring/coaching, assessing, and

advocacy in conjunction with housing supportive services to enrolled housing clients to ensure

clients meet the goals of their individualized housing stability plan.

 Prepare and organize and informational sessions (for group or individual meetings) focused on

well-being and goal setting across multiple areas including physical and mental health,

financial capability, education and employment, sustainable housing, and development of a

healthy support system.

 Complete and coordinate contacts with assigned housing clients, ensure case management

notes/contacts are in all housing files and that required documentation is present and files are

up to date.

 Provide assistance as needed with leasing staff in housing searches for newly enrolled clients.

 Conduct Housing Quality Inspections as needed for new units, and as frequently as needed to

ensure both clients and landlords are following lease responsibilities.

 Assist in the collection of paperwork needed for compliance purposes for new client lease ups,

interim recertifications, annual recertifications, and/or transfers to permanent voucher

programs.

 Complete Annual Service Plan Trackers for clients enrolled in CoC-funded housing program.

 Assist housing clients in identifying and applying for permanent housing programs for

successful exit from our project.

 Work with residents and landlords and our housing team to mediate landlord/resident issues.

 Identify and develop community resources and partnerships to support client efforts toward

housing stability and self-sufficiency, including access to public benefit programs.

 Maintain relationships with community partners and funders and seek out opportunities to

engage in systems change.

 Some travel required (in-state and out-of-state).

 Other duties as assigned, including administrative activities in support of all projects.


Qualifications:

 Minimum of 1 year of experience providing individualized case management services

preferably focused on establishing and maximizing stability for clients in private, public

housing, emergency shelter, or non-profit environment. This experience should ideally reflect

directly providing client services in obtaining and maintaining housing, particularly through


HUD funded projects such Transitional Housing, Rapid Rehousing, and/or Permanent

Supportive Housing models funded through a Continuum of Care/Coordinated Entry system.

 Experience working with survivors of domestic violence at a domestic violence

shelter/program or an affiliate agency that provides intersecting services for survivors is

strongly preferred.

 Be self-motivated, resourceful, creative, and able to work well in a team driven environment.

 Proficient using Microsoft Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom and Teams,

etc.

 Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 Ability to work remotely synchronously with colleagues in Eastern and Central time zones.

 Applicants should have familiarity with/experience in housing and case management

resources in the Kentucky Balance of State CoC (all counties except Fayette and Jefferson) is

also desired.

 A candidate must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Central KY area.

Salary:

 Salary for a Senior Program Specialist is $60,000
