Our client is looking for a Process and Utility Piping Foreman to lead their talented team.
What You Will Do:
- Mentor and help to grow lead craft workers
- Manage contract administration (subcontract/field management meeting for communication)
- Read and interpret P&IDs
- Understand isometric drawings and build according to the drawings
- Understand specification books and ensure the correct materials are used
- Understand welding procedures and identify acceptable and unacceptable welds
- Develop a program to maintain strong client relations with on-site staff
- Initiate and attend supplemental and regular meetings with clients for problem resolution and planning
- Manage site labor to meet or exceed labor productivity goals
- Assist Project Managers in preparing necessary labor, materials, rental equipment and schedule extensions for change orders
- Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
- Maintain daily for record keeping purposes
- Ensure that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely fashion for direct reports
- Recommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy and procedural or staff changes
What You Will Bring:
- 8+ years construction experience (3+ years in a foreman/leadership capacity)
- OSHA 30 Certified
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding procedures and software programs
- Ability to identify and help resolve any problems that may arise
- Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning and contract administration
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Candidates must have reliable transportation
- Be willing to work within a 75-mile radius. Willingness to travel to other states for work is a plus
- Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
