Position Title: Senior Project Coordinator

Location: Athabasca Basin, SK | Camp Accommodation and Travel Allowance

Shift Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 2 travel days

Our Client

PBN Construction is more than a construction company. Proudly Indigenous-owned, PBN has grown from a northern-focused operation into a diversified, Saskatchewan-based organization with a strong and expanding footprint across the province. From large-scale earthworks to complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure and mining support projects, PBN is known for reliability, safety, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Beyond traditional construction, PBN plays a critical role in supporting mining operations, delivering project management, site supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and heavy equipment operation. Their teams work where the action is: in high-performance, industrial environments that demand precision, safety, and teamwork.

At the core of PBN’s success is a culture rooted in accountability, continuous improvement, and pride in craftsmanship. If you’re a skilled trades professional who values safety, respects the work, and takes ownership of doing the job right, you’ll fit right in.

The Opportunity

This isn’t a desk job where you sit back and watch the project unfold, this is where the action is.

PBN Construction is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator who thrives in the middle of the momentum. The kind of person who sees a moving construction site and doesn’t get overwhelmed, they get energized. The kind of person who can take a pile of schedules, drawings, logistics, and shifting priorities and turn it into a clear plan that crews can execute with confidence.

In this role, you’ll be the connective tissue between the field and the office, supporting Project Managers, coordinating crews, tracking progress, and keeping every detail aligned so the project stays on schedule, on budget, and on point. From mobilization planning to documentation, reporting, and project controls, your work will keep the entire operation running smoothly.

You’ll be part of a team that values accountability, performance, and doing things right the first time. If you’re organized, proactive, and built for fast-paced site environments where every day brings something new, this is your chance to step into a role where your impact will be obvious and your contributions will matter.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Project Coordinator, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

1. Project Planning & Execution Support

  • Review contract documentation, specifications, and drawings to assist in project planning and execution.
  • Manage distribution and tracking of shop drawings.
  • Maintain construction schedules using MS Project, providing updates, forecasts, and resource plans as required.
  • Assist with resource planning including crew scheduling, equipment allocation, flights, gate passes, and permitting.
  • Organize and coordinate mobilization and demobilization logistics for project teams.

2. Project Controls & Reporting

  • Track LEMs (labour hours, equipment usage, and material quantities).
  • Assist with tracking and reporting productivity rates.
  • Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including HSE statistics and meeting minutes.
  • Maintain project documentation, change logs, and cost tracking systems.
  • Assist with purchase orders, invoice tracking, cost coding, and financial documentation.
  • Analyze project data to support forecasting, schedule performance tracking, indirect cost monitoring, and contingency analysis.
  • Ensure appropriate level of project control relative to project size and risk profile.

3. Compliance, Quality & Safety

  • Assist in implementing project-specific HSE and QA/QC programs.
  • Perform periodic site safety inspections as requested.
  • Ensure project documentation and folders are organized and audit-ready.
  • Support project close-out processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.

Qualifications

  • To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Trade certificate or technical diploma/degree in engineering or related field experience.
  • 2–3 years of direct construction experience, particularly as a Project Coordinator.
  • Strong understanding of construction systems, project management processes, and site operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong working knowledge of MS Project.
  • Experience using scheduling and project management software.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced site environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with field teams and leadership.
  • You are proactive, highly organized, and comfortable operating in dynamic construction environments where coordination and accountability are essential.

What Our Client Offers

  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive health, drug, and dental benefits (50% employer paid / 50% employee paid)
  • Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability coverage
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program
  • A structured 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule
  • The opportunity to grow within a respected and expanding Saskatchewan construction organization
