Position Title: Psychiatrist

Location: Ontario

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: This is a contract position paid on a revenue-share basis, not a fixed salary. The revenue split ranges from 70/30 to 80/20, depending on experience and billing volume. Earnings vary based on workload, with an estimated range of $30,000–$40,000 per month depending on individual billing volume.

The Opportunity

You will be part of a team delivering compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to a diverse patient population. The structure supports clinicians with strong administrative and billing support, allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities  

As a Psychiatrist, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide diagnosis, medication management, and psychotherapy where appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with psychologists, therapists, and primary care providers to deliver integrated care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation through EMR systems.
  • Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Manage patients with both acute and chronic mental-health conditions across the care continuum.


Qualifications  

As a Psychiatrist, you will possess the following qualities:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) from a recognized institution.
  • Specialist Certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or equivalent.
  • Eligible for, or holding, an independent practice licence with the relevant provincial College: e.g., the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) for Ontario or the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) for BC.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with virtual or telemedicine platforms (for BC Telepsychiatry) is an asset.
  • Candidates holding comparable credentials/licensing from UK (MRCPsych/CCT), Ireland (MICPsych), USA (ABPN), Australia/New Zealand (FRANZCP) are eligible for consideration and encouraged to apply.
