The Opportunity

The Civil Earthworks project manager is responsible for overseeing and managing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management knowledge to coordinate various stakeholders, resources, and processes.


Key Responsibilities

As the Civil Earthworks Project Manager you will:

  • Responsible to implement and enforce safety at a project site by developing clear safety protocols, providing training, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards to protect all workers and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Identify and coordinate labor, equipment, material, subtrades needed
  • Monitor budget and cost controls – actively track and control project expenses, manage change orders
  • Ensure project meets all quality standards
  • Timely identification, quantification, and documentation of CORs
  • Responsible for producing timely and accurate invoices to clients, and producing periodic forecasting for internal and external purposes
  • Responsible for periodic project reporting


Qualifications

As the Civil Earthworks Project Manager, you will bring:

  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, industrial engineering or related field required.
  • PMP Certification
  • Minimum 5-10 years of civil construction experience.
  • Previous project management experience where project value was over $1M
  • Previous experience with crushing aggregate would be considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of industrial systems, construction methods, equipment and regulatory requirements-

This role requires a pre-employment substance test and verification of experience.
