Position Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Athabasca Basin, SK | Camp Accommodation and Travel Allowance

Shift Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 2 travel days

Our Client

PBN Construction is more than a construction company. Proudly Indigenous-owned, PBN has grown from a northern-focused operation into a diversified, Saskatchewan-based organization with a strong and expanding footprint across the province. From large-scale earthworks to complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure and mining support projects, PBN is known for reliability, safety, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Beyond traditional construction, PBN plays a critical role in supporting mining operations, delivering project management, site supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and heavy equipment operation. Their teams work where the action is: in high-performance, industrial environments that demand precision, safety, and teamwork.

At the core of PBN’s success is a culture rooted in accountability, continuous improvement, and pride in craftsmanship. If you’re a skilled trades professional who values safety, respects the work, and takes ownership of doing the job right, you’ll fit right in.

The Opportunity

Construction projects move fast. Crews mobilize. Equipment shifts. Schedules evolve. Documentation changes daily.

PBN Construction is seeking a Project Coordinator who thrives in that environment,  someone who brings structure to complexity and clarity to moving parts.

In this role, you’ll support the planning, management, and execution of construction projects from start to finish. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure resources are available, reporting is accurate, and schedules are up to date. You’ll track labour, equipment, and material usage, support procurement activities, assist with change management, and maintain organized, audit-ready documentation.

This isn’t just administrative support,  it’s operational coordination. Your attention to detail, ability to analyze project data, and proactive communication will directly influence project performance.

If you’re someone who sees the big picture but never misses the fine print, this role was built for you

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Coordinator, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Review contract documentation, drawings, and specifications to support project planning and execution.
  • Maintain construction schedules using MS Project, including updates and forecasting.
  • Assist with resource planning and scheduling of crews and equipment.
  • Coordinate mobilization and demobilization logistics, including travel, flights, gate passes, and permits

2. Project Controls & Reporting

  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting including HSE statistics and meeting minutes.
  • Track LEMs (labour, equipment, and material usage).
  • Support productivity tracking and performance reporting.
  • Analyze project data to support forecasting related to schedule performance, scope changes, indirect costs, and contingency.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project folders and documentation.

3. Procurement & Financial Support

  • Support procurement of supplies and materials.
  • Assist with purchase orders, cost coding, invoice tracking, and related administrative documentation.
  • Assist with change management processes, including maintaining change logs and documentation.
  • Support timely project close-out activities.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Assist in implementation of project-specific HSE and QA/QC programs.
  • Perform periodic site safety inspections as requested.
  • Ensure documentation meets internal, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Remain fit for duty in accordance with safety-sensitive position requirements.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–3+ years of experience in construction project coordination or project support roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and MS Project.
  • Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret project data and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with field and office teams.
  • You are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments where priorities shift and accountability matters.

What Our Client Offers

  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive health, drug, and dental benefits (50% employer paid / 50% employee paid)
  • Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability coverage
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program
  • A structured 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule
  • The opportunity to grow within a respected and expanding Saskatchewan construction organization
