The Opportunity

In this role you’ll take the lead on-site, coordinating projects, overseeing crews and keeping jobs moving with clarity and collaboration from site to office. As Foreman Electrician you’ll work across a mix of residential and light commercial sites, from electrical service upgrades to meter bank replacements. Some days you’ll be troubleshooting issues solo while the team keeps things moving. Other days, you’ll be planning materials, mentoring apprentices, or smoothing out client concerns with professionalism and calm. It’s a role that calls for more than just electrical expertise, it takes vision, confidence, and the kind of leadership that earns the respect of both your crew and your clients.


Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Jobsite Oversight

·      Supervise and coordinate the daily work of electricians and apprentices on residential and light commercial projects.

·      Interpret and execute project blueprints, specs, and electrical plans with accuracy.

·      Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials to optimize workflow and minimize waste.

·      Troubleshoot issues and make real-time decisions that minimize disruption and keep jobs moving forward.

·      Uphold safety practices and ensure all work is completed in accordance with current electrical codes and safety regulations.

Crew Leadership & Mentorship

·      Supervise and coordinate the daily work of electricians and apprentices on residential and light commercial projects.

·      Plan, delegate, and oversee tasks to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and to code.

·      Provide hands-on mentorship and training to junior team members, ensuring quality workmanship and growth.

Communication, Coordination & Reporting

  • Serve as a main point of contact for site-related questions and updates, identifying and communicating any changes, delays or issues to the Project Manager.
  • Track progress through field management tools including timesheets, material use, and inspection reports.
  • Submit permits or documentation as needed to support site compliance and inspections.

 

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Electrician Certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical experience, preferably in a residential or commercial setting.
  • At least 1-2 years of leadership experience in the Electrical trade with an ability to mentor Apprentices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with crews, contractors, and clients.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems, with hands-on experience performing basic preventive maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and team members.
  •  Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
