The Opportunity

As the Division Manager, Residential Construction, you will lead the company’s residential division, overseeing daily operations and ensuring both alignment and focus across sales, estimating, purchasing, and project management teams. You will bring structure and accountability to each stage of the residential build process, ensuring that projects progress smoothly from design through to completion while maintaining the company’s reputation for quality and collaboration. With clear communication and thoughtful leadership, you will inspire confidence across the team and help deliver exceptional homes built on strong relationships.


Key Responsibilities

As the Division Manager, Residential Construction, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

1. Leadership & Team Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential division, providing direction, support, and accountability for the sales team.
  • Set clear expectations, coach for results, and provide support to keep the team focused and organized.
  • Step in when needed to resolve challenges, fill communication gaps, and ensure that projects and client needs continue to move forward.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and shared success across the division.

2. Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with estimating, purchasing, and project management to ensure smooth handoffs from design through construction.
  • Oversee quote requests, prioritizing high-impact opportunities and ensuring timely follow-up with clients and internal teams.
  • Monitor the production schedule for all active builds, anticipate constraints, and coordinate cross-departmental solutions to maintain momentum.
  • Support alignment between the sales and project delivery teams, bridging communication and maintaining pace across multiple projects.

3. Client & Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and repeat customers.
  • Engage on high-profile residential and multi-unit projects, ensuring expectations are met and communication remains clear.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in every interaction.

4. Continuous Improvement & Strategic Input

  • Identify opportunities to refine systems, improve communication, and strengthen coordination between teams.
  • Provide insight into resource planning and division strategy, contributing to sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
  • Assess team structure over time and make recommendations that support growth and efficiency.

 

 

Qualifications

As the Division Manager, Residential Construction, you will bring leadership experience, industry knowledge, and a focus on results, with the following:

Hard Skills & Experience

  • Proven management experience within the residential construction industry, ideally overseeing both custom homes and RTM or multi-unit builds.
  • Strong understanding of how residential projects move from design to delivery, including the practical, field-fit nature of this work.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support sales or operations teams, aligning people, processes, and priorities across departments.
  • Experience collaborating with estimating, purchasing, and project management functions to maintain pace, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Confident decision-maker with sound judgment in scheduling, client management, and operational problem-solving.
