Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for aesthetics, and the ability to transform spaces into functional and visually appealing environments. The Interior Decorator will work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget, and will develop and implement design plans that meet these requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Consultation:

• Meet with clients to discuss their needs, preferences, and budget for interior design projects.
• Assess the space and determine project requirements.

2. Design Planning:

• Develop design concepts and create detailed plans for interior spaces, including layout, color schemes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
• Use design software to produce visual representations of the proposed designs.

3. Material Selection:

• Select appropriate materials, furniture, fixtures, and accessories to fit the design concept and client’s preferences.
• Source and procure items, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

4. Project Management:

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
• Oversee the implementation of the design plan, making adjustments as necessary.

5. Budget Management:

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and within the client's budget.
• Provide clients with detailed cost estimates and keep them informed of any changes.

6. Quality Control:

• Ensure all design elements meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
• Conduct final inspections to ensure all elements are in place and the project meets the client’s expectations.

7. Trend Awareness:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in interior design.
• Incorporate innovative ideas and sustainable practices into design projects.

8. Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of design projects, including client communications, contracts, material selections, and project timelines.
• Prepare and present design proposals and reports to clients and management.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Decorating, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in interior decorating or a related field.
• Proven portfolio of completed design projects.

Skills:

• Strong aesthetic sense and creative flair.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
