Role Context


The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the chocolate production area, ensuring that all processes —from mixing and tempering to molding and packaging—

are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards. This role leads a team of production workers and collaborates with cross-functional departments to meet production goals and maintain product excellence.


Key accountabilities & deliverables:



  • Supervise all production processes including cooking, melting, baking, tempering, cooling, and packaging.


  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.


  • Create and maintain a positive working environment.


  • Monitor and ensure all safe work practices and procedures are being followed by employees and visitors.


  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA, GMP) and internal quality standards.


  • Monitor product quality, texture, and consistency, and implement preventative and corrective actions as needed.


  • Manage production schedules and workforce to meet daily and weekly output targets.


  • Train and coach team members on chocolate handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.


  • Deliver effective training and performance management of Production workforce.


  • Ensuring employees in respective positions are trained in all processes and following proper protocol of position.


  • Maintain equipment and coordinate with maintenance for repairs and preventive servicing.


  • Track production metrics such as yield, waste, downtime, and labor efficiency.


  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to support new product trials, launches and continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Enforce hygiene and allergen control protocols specific to chocolate and confectionery production.


  • Follow all plant safety and GMP rules and regulations.


  • Initiate process improvements by leading the plant production group to identify potential savings and assist with their implementation.


  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support employee development and engagement.


  • Organizes shift handover meetings to ensure effective communication between shifts


Skills & Experience:



  • Knowledge of food processing (preferably chocolate and biscuit).

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety

  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications Required:



  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, preferably in chocolate or confectionery.


  • Strong understanding of chocolate


  • Knowledge of Food Manufacturing GMPs


  • Knowledge of safety standards in food manufacturing production techniques and food safety standards.


  • Experience with lean manufacturing practices


  • Proven leadership and team management experience.


  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment and handle food-grade machinery.
