We’ve been retained on a confidential basis by a global leader in advanced technology and high-performance materials to find a world-class Director of Manufacturing to join their executive leadership team in Victoria, British Columbia.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end manufacturing operations at a high-growth, mission-driven company that is reshaping its industry, and to do it from one of the most stunning places in North America. The Role

The Director, Manufacturing will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company's manufacturing operations, from production strategy, execution, and continuous improvement to team leadership, cost control, quality, and on-time delivery. This is a mission-critical role at the center of the company’s next phase of growth.


You’ll be accountable for:

  • Full ownership of manufacturing operations, including production planning, safety, quality, and delivery performance
  • Developing and scaling a high-performing team of Process Engineers, Production Managers, and Technicians
  • Driving operational excellence, process control, cost reduction, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with R&D and Product Engineering to ensure successful product transfers and NPIs
  • Leading facility expansion and capital investment planning
  • Building a metrics-driven culture using KPIs and analytical tools to monitor performance
  • Driving precision manufacturing and complex system integration in a highly regulated environment


Your Background

  • 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, with at least 5 years at a senior level
  • Proven success in high-precision, high-complexity manufacturing environments (semiconductors, optics, advanced materials, or related fields)
  • Experience leading operations over $50M+ in annual production
  • Deep knowledge of process development, NPI, and manufacturing scale-up
  • Experience in ISO9001 and/or ISO13485 environments
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
