We are partnering with a global leader in the food & beverage sector on a search for a Automation Engineering Project Manager to lead large-scale engineering and automation initiatives across their warehousing and distribution operations.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can take ownership of automation projects end-to-end — from design and scoping through installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement. You will be driving modernization across material handling, warehouse workflows, and system integration at a major West Coast facility.

What You’ll Be Leading

• Oversight of automation and engineering projects across warehouse/DC operations
• Managing and coordinating vendors, integrators, and contractors during installation and commissioning
• Designing and implementing automation solutions such as conveyors, sorters, AS/RS, robotics, AGVs, and WCS/WMS integrations
• Conducting testing, validation, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems
• Supporting warehouse engineering needs including layout design, equipment selection, and MHE performance improvement
• Managing capex project budgets, schedules, and resources

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10+ years experience in automation, project engineering, or material handling
• Strong background working in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environments
• Hands-on understanding of MHE, robotics, AS/RS, AGVs, sensors, PLC-driven equipment
• Experience delivering capital projects, managing vendors, and driving engineering execution
• Exposure to WMS/WCS, SCADA, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and system integrations
