As they continue their growth journey, we're helping them expand their sourcing leadership team across Southeast Asia and are hiring a Country Sourcing Manager to oversee critical supplier relationships and product categories in the region.

Role Overview

The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, optimizing costs, maintaining quality, and supporting the development and commercialization of new products across our global furniture portfolio. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on sourcing expert who understands both the strategic and operational levers of global sourcing in complex, fast-moving categories.

This role will work closely with regional suppliers, product development teams, engineering, and QA to ensure flawless execution from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Supplier Management

• Manage and grow a portfolio of furniture suppliers across Southeast Asia, with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Conduct vendor evaluations, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive pricing and lead times.
• Partner with suppliers to improve capability, performance, and alignment with our clients brand and operational standards.

Product Development & Commercialization

• Collaborate with Design and Product Development teams to bring new products to life, ensuring feasibility, manufacturability, and target costing are met.
• Own the sourcing process from RFQ through first article approval, working across functions to troubleshoot delays and ensure on-time launches.
• Review product specs, materials, finishes, and samples to ensure they meet required design and quality standards.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Work closely with QA teams to implement quality control measures, inspection protocols, and ensure all suppliers meet compliance, ethical, and social audit standards.
• Support factory audits, CAPA processes, and continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and performance.

Cost Optimization & Operational Efficiency

• Identify and execute opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and supply base optimization.
• Monitor industry trends, raw material pricing, and market dynamics to proactively mitigate risk and enhance supply continuity.

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

• Serve as a key liaison between SEA suppliers and global teams based in North America and other regions.
• Communicate updates, risks, and solutions with clarity, urgency, and accountability.
• Represent our clients' values and culture in all supplier interactions—leading with integrity, humility, and performance excellence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

• 7+ years of sourcing, procurement, or vendor management experience in furniture, home goods, consumer durables, or related manufacturing sectors.
• Strong exposure to regional supplier networks across Southeast Asia, ideally with established relationships in the region.
• Experience supporting product development cycles and managing sourcing from concept to commercialization.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong negotiation, relationship management, and vendor development skills.
• Familiarity with quality systems, audit frameworks, and compliance standards in the region.
• Ability to interpret product drawings, material specs, and work with engineering/QA teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Comfortable in a high-accountability, low-ego culture; must be hands-on, independent, and entrepreneurial in mindset.
• Strong communication and project management skills; English fluency required. Additional SEA languages a plus.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Technical background or engineering knowledge is a plus.
