A premier global freight forwarding company is seeking a high-impact leader to spearhead its APAC multi-modal logistics portfolio and commercial strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO , this individual will design competitive market products , drive regional pricing strategies , and command the regional carrier network to accelerate growth and win major client bids.
Core Focus Areas
- Product Strategy: The Director will architect and optimize competitive air and ocean freight products tailored to the APAC market.
- Carrier Strategy & Procurement: The role involves commanding regional carrier networks, negotiating top-tier rates, and securing priority cargo space.
- Pricing Architecture: The executive will build aggressive, profitable pricing models that enable sales teams to win strategic bids.
- Capacity Management: This leader will oversee regional capacity planning to mitigate peak-season bottlenecks and market disruptions.
- Team Leadership: The position requires mentoring and scaling a high-performing regional control tower team.
What the Ideal Candidate Brings:
- At least 10 years of experience in freight forwarding, with a minimum of 5 years in senior APAC management focused on carrier network and capacity management.
- A proven track record of securing favorable agreements, locked-in space, and market-leading rates across both air and ocean sectors.
- Deep mastery of freight pricing, capacity utilization analysis, and industry compliance standards, including IATA.
- Native or professional English fluency; proficiency in Mandarin or other APAC languages is a strong asset.
- Practical familiarity with logistics platforms such as CargoWise.
