The Opportunity
Our client, a complex global enterprise, is seeking a senior transformation leader to shape the next generation of its supply chain. This role will define how digital technology, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, and modern ways of working are applied across the end-to-end operation.
Reporting into senior supply chain leadership, the successful candidate will own the global digital capability roadmap, help define the future technology landscape, govern the digital investment portfolio, and ensure that every initiative delivers measurable operational and financial value. The mandate combines enterprise strategy with disciplined execution: redesigning processes, scaling proven solutions, and moving the organization toward a more connected, predictive, and increasingly autonomous supply chain.
This is a highly visible remote role based in the United States, with significant influence across global Supply Chain, Operations, Information Technology, Finance, Data and Analytics, and regional leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
● Define the vision, operating model, governance framework, and multi-year roadmap for global supply chain digital transformation.
● Establish enterprise standards, methodologies, playbooks, and governance that accelerate digital capability maturity and adoption.
● Lead a global digital transformation community of practice and build a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
● Measure adoption, implementation effectiveness, value realization, and overall capability maturity across the transformation portfolio.
● Prioritize and sequence digital initiatives that improve customer service, productivity, resilience, sustainability, and working capital.
● Maintain a balanced portfolio of strategic transformation programs and practical, high-impact improvements.
● Evaluate emerging technologies and benchmark the organization against leading practices inside and outside its industry.
● Partner with Information Technology and Supply Chain leadership to define the future supply chain technology landscape and business capability architecture.
● Set business requirements across planning, manufacturing, logistics, product lifecycle management, trade compliance, analytics, automation, and AI.
● Remain accountable for business outcomes from concept through deployment, ensuring technology simplifies, standardizes, and strengthens end-to-end processes.
● Govern the supply chain digital capital investment portfolio, build robust business cases, recommend funding priorities, and monitor portfolio health and return on investment.
● Partner with Finance to validate committed benefits and provide clear executive reporting on investment performance and value realization.
● Redesign end-to-end processes using Lean principles, process excellence, intelligent automation, and digital enablement.
● Advance the use of advanced analytics, AI, generative AI, optimization, digital twins, and intelligent automation in high-value operational use cases.
● Partner with Data and Analytics teams to industrialize scalable, secure, AI-enabled capabilities.
● Build strategic relationships with technology providers, start-ups, universities, industry associations, and peer organizations.
● Represent the organization in external innovation forums and translate emerging ideas into practical business capabilities.
● Influence senior stakeholders across functions and regions to accelerate adoption, organizational change, and sustainable execution.
Qualifications and Experience
Education and Professional Experience
● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field; a master's degree or MBA is preferred.
● At least 12 years of experience leading global digital transformation, supply chain excellence, business transformation, or operations improvement.
● Demonstrated success delivering enterprise transformation through a combination of technology, process redesign, and organizational change.
● Strong knowledge of ERP, advanced planning systems, product lifecycle management, analytics, AI, automation, and enterprise digital programs.
● Strong financial acumen, including experience governing capital investments, building business cases, and tracking value realization.
● Experience operating effectively in a complex, global, matrixed organization.
