Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading BU Cell Manager, Production Manager, and New Product Manager (NPI) to satisfy customer’s requirements: New product launch, order management, quality achievement, shipment and revenue performance. To achieve P/L goal by properly resource arrangement, production and inventory management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image.
- Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.
- Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
- Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
- Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
- Develop operational procedures and standards to achieve business goals.
- Develop budget plans to control expense and meet cost objectives.
- Develop strategic plans to improve operational efficiency.
- Schedule monthly meetings to discuss about concerns, budgets and business improvements.
- Assist in development and delivery of all client projects.
- Manage staffing requirement and assignment for client projects.
- Provide support and guidance to operations team as and when needed.
- Monitor performance metrics and evaluate operational effectiveness.
- Ensure that operations team follows safety and security procedures.
- Responsible for implementing programs to ensure compliance with laws,
- regulations and the requirements of the RBA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
- SMT Experience and knowledge required.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation skills recommended.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to function independently and multi-task.
- Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical), Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Engineering/Operations) preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications are a plus (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, CPIM, etc.).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain leadership within the electronics or electronic manufacturing services (EMS) industry.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior management or director-level role overseeing multi-department operations (production, planning, quality, supply chain, and logistics).
- Proven experience managing high-mix, high-volume electronic manufacturing environments.
- Strong background in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Demonstrated success in cost control, capacity planning, yield improvement, and on-time delivery performance.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven operational decision-making
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IPC, RoHS, etc.).
- Experience leading large, cross-functional teams and driving change in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
