The Opportunity
Lean Six Search Group has been retained to identify and appoint a Vice President, Safety, Quality & Compliance for a large, multi-site enterprise at a critical stage of its growth. This senior executive will play a transformative role, shaping and executing world-class programs that safeguard people, elevate product quality, and ensure regulatory excellence across the business.
This is a highly visible role, reporting to the Head of Operations, with direct influence on culture, strategy, and operational performance. It is designed for a leader who thrives at the intersection of vision and execution: someone who can set enterprise-wide standards while remaining hands-on in driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Culture Leadership: Champion a company-wide safety and quality culture that reflects organizational values and drives accountability at all levels.

Regulatory Excellence: Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other applicable standards. Lead audits, certifications, and corrective actions with a proactive, preventative approach.

Quality Integration: Partner cross-functionally to embed quality into operations, systems, and customer deliverables, ensuring products and services exceed expectations.

Training & Development: Oversee comprehensive training programs for leaders, drivers, and operators, fostering proactive prevention, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Data & Analytics: Leverage data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities; translate insights into measurable strategies that improve safety and quality outcomes.

Change Management: Drive enterprise-wide initiatives related to safety, compliance, and quality, ensuring alignment with business strategy.

Travel: Up to 75%, ensuring strong presence and consistency across multiple locations.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of progressive experience in occupational safety, quality management, compliance, or related field.

8+ years of proven leadership experience with large, multi-site teams.
- Demonstrated track record of driving safety and quality excellence in a regulated, complex, and capital-intensive industry.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and change management skills.
- Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or advanced graduate degree.
- Professional certifications in safety, compliance, or quality, such as:
- Certificate in Safety Management (CSM)
- Certified Safety Supervisor (CSS)
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent.
